Whether you want to sit and read, watch the birds or just listen to the river, Worthing Mill in its tranquil location is ideal. For outdoor types, Norfolk is the place for walking, cycling and fishing. The moored rowing boat offers the opportunity to explore the placid upstream waters. Worthing is an unspoilt hamlet, set in countryside traced by narrow leafy lanes. Village shops, Post Office and Pubs serving good food, are all close by. There are many excellent, gourmet restaurants: Morston Hall, with Galton Blackiston, The Lavender House, Richard Hughes and The Neptune, Old Hunstanton. For the sports minded, golf, tennis, squash and horseriding are all within easy reach. Historic centres such as Norwich, Kings Lynn and Dereham are a short drive away, each with excellent shopping facilities. The area has innumerable fine churches and stately homes, such as Royal Sandringham and Blickling Hall. North Norfolk beaches are a bird-watcher's joy and there are several wildlife reserves in the area. Market towns like Reepham, Aylsham, Holt, Swaffham and Fakenham are at most a 30 minute drive and the famous Norfolk Broads only 45 minutes away. The Mill's car park fronts the Mill garden and there is a riverside barbeque / picnic area provided by the owner, who lives in a separate part of the Mill and has long family connections with Norfolk.
